Fraud Risk Management  – What are some key focus areas for your organization?

The cost of fraudulent acts is significant globally.  Recent surveys estimate the cost of fraud to have a $1.5 trillion annual impact globally and on average represent 7% of a company’s annual sales.  Most fraudulent acts in organizations are never detected.

In this session, we will cover various facets surrounding internal investigations and fraud to help you be better prepared and to create additional awareness on how to limit the impact of fraud within your organization. In the session we will cover:

  • Common circumstances when fraud occurs
  • Real life examples of fraud and how they were detected
  • Preventative controls you should ensure are operating in your organization
  • Overview of key statutes including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the UK Bribery Act
  • Leading practices in conducting investigations

Learning Objectives -
Create additional awareness of fraud schemes, preventative controls surrounding fraud, and key investigation techniques.
